Biography
Dr. Baozhong Tian's research interests are mainly in image processing areas such as computer vision techniques including object tracking, optical flow computation, 3D scene reconstruction, etc. Tian published a series of peer-reviewed papers on 3D reconstruction algorithm analysis, comparison and applications.
Tian's recent application oriented research topics are focused on applying computer vision techniques in organic farming fields such as plant and weed tracking/removal.
Tian also actively involves undergraduate/graduate students to participate in research projects, such as advising students to use state-of-the-art Computer Vision software libraries to build eye-tracking systems.
Tian's industry experience has proved him to be an excellent problem solver and researcher in the real world as well. He has participate in many IT and e-commerce projects as well as tracking projects in commercial video surveillance systems.
Tian's electronics and acoustics science background makes him capable of many additional interdisciplinary research areas such as acoustics design, ultrasound detection and measurement and many more industrial research and applications.
