The Cybersecurity and Forensic Student Organization (CFSO) brought artificial intelligence to life on Thursday, February 26, during its “Creating AI Agents with n8n” workshop in the Cyber Security Center (NM L206) on the Saint Paul Campus. The event welcomed both in-person and online participants. This recorded session drew in students curious about how AI moves from theory into real-world application.

The session opened with a clear breakdown of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI, helping attendees understand how these concepts connect but differ in practice. From there, the focus shifted to prompt engineering and how AI agents process information and make decisions.

What set this workshop apart was its hands-on approach. Students built an AI Chat Agent, an AI Email Agent, and automated AI-powered workflows using n8n. Participants saw how AI can streamline communication, trigger actions, and support practical tasks in cybersecurity and IT environments.

Designed to be beginner-friendly, the workshop welcomed all students who love to learn. No advanced experience was required, just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.

The event reflected CFSO’s continued effort to provide applied learning experiences that prepare students for emerging technologies and evolving career paths.
