Metro State University recently served as host for the Cyber Subject Matter Expertise Exchange (CYSMEE), a program led by the Minnesota National Guard (MNNG) through the State Partnership Program.
Held over the course of several days, the exchange brought together participants from the Minnesota National Guard and cyber experts from Norway to share knowledge, explore strategies, and strengthen collaboration around cybersecurity.
Discussions focused on some of the most pressing issues in the cyber domain, including critical infrastructure protection and the defense of industrial control systems. By engaging across sectors and national borders, participants worked to identify strategies for building resilience against evolving threats in the digital space.
“CYSMEE highlights the importance of international and cross-sector partnerships in cybersecurity,” said Faisal Kaleem, Director and Professor of Cyber Programs at Metro State. “By coming together, we create opportunities to share expertise and strengthen our collective defense.”
Metro State University was honored to provide the space for this vital exchange. As a leader in cybersecurity education, the university remains committed to supporting initiatives that advance knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and prepare the next generation of cyber professionals.
Metro State is proud to be the place where knowledge is shared and resilience is strengthened.
