HTC encourages all students and college community members to be fully aware of the safety issues on the campus and to take action to prevent and to report illegal and inappropriate activities. Personal awareness and applying personal safety practices are the foundation of a safe community. All criminal reports should be made to the Director of Emergency Preparedness and Physical Security or a Security Officer. Everyone on campus (including students, faculty, staff, and visitors) are encouraged to report immediately any and all potential criminal activity to the college and/or the Police Department.

Individuals reporting to HTC who also wish to file a complaint with the Police Department will be provided with assistance from HTC upon request.

Uniformed officers provide regular foot and vehicle patrol, monitor system cameras, set building alarms, and take part in other proactive communications. We can also provide on-campus escort services, jump start vehicles, and manage lost and found items.
