Nursing Internship

This course focuses on the application and integration of healthcare and nursing concepts, assessment skills and interventions necessary to provide safe and effective holistic nursing care. Emphasis is placed on the examination of dynamic interrelationships between professional practice and the health and wellbeing of diverse persons and populations. Internships will occur in a variety of settings with a focus on clinical decision-making and the development of the professional nursing role. Internships will occur with a nurse preceptor in a variety of acute-care clinical setting.

Note: Registration is required by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for all students in a Nursing Internship clinical position.
