The Office of Equity and Inclusion invites students, staff, and community members to a Black History Month event, Honoring the Past: A Future of Possibility.
This gathering offers space to reflect on the legacies that have shaped Black history and to imagine the possibilities that emerge when communities build toward a more just and equitable future. Through storytelling, dialogue, and shared learning, the program centers both remembrance and forward momentum, inviting participants to consider how history informs the work we carry into the years ahead.
Our featured speaker is Dr. Artika R. Tyner, who presents on American historian, author, journalist, and founder of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History, Dr. Carter G. Woodson.
Join us in Student Center 101 or via Zoom. Light refreshments provided.
