On Friday, February 13, the Metro State Cyber Clinic participated in the Opportunity Fair at Central High School, strengthening its commitment to community engagement and early cybersecurity workforce development.
The Opportunity Fair provided a valuable platform for introducing high school students to cybersecurity education and career pathways at Metropolitan State University. Cyber Clinic students engaged directly with students, sharing information about cybersecurity roles, academic preparation, and the transition from high school to Metro State’s cybersecurity programs. This outreach supports the creation of a clear and accessible pipeline for students interested in pursuing cybersecurity studies after graduation. All student participants in the Cyber Clinic are upper-division cybersecurity majors who have completed industry-recognized certifications and specialized training in Cybersecurity for Critical Urban Infrastructure, including role-playing simulation exercises. Through events like the Central High School Opportunity Fair, the Cyber Clinic connects community outreach, experiential learning, and workforce development; helping inspire the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
