Miliite Gebremichael

Biography

Miliite Gebremichael joined Metropolitan State University in July 2020 as Financial Management director. In this role, she managed the financial affairs of the university, supervising the Accounts Receivable, Procurement and Accounts Payable, Budget, and Accounting Services areas.

Miliite began her career as an accountant, first at the Ethiopian Water Works Construction Enterprise and then at the British Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She previously worked at Metropolitan State University from mid-2006 to mid-2012, serving as payroll coordinator, grants and contracts accountant, and progressing to Accounts Receivable and Financial Reporting supervisor. She served two years as the business manager at Dakota County Technical College and six years as regional business manager at the Minnesota DNR.

Miliite holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia and a Master’s degree in public and nonprofit administration from Metropolitan State University.
