The Executive Director and Sponsors have formalized the following set of goals:
- Enhance Minnesota’s cybersecurity workforce
- Foster cybersecurity education and research at all levels
- Act as a cybersecurity clearinghouse and resource for the entire state
- Attract new financial, healthcare, transportation, and technology companies to Minnesota
Metropolitan State University was one of the first institution in Minnesota to earn this distinction awarded by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). NCAE-CD institutions receive formal recognition from the U.S. Government as well as opportunities for prestige and publicity for their role in securing our Nation's information systems. The Cybersecurity programs and its curriculum at Metro State conforms to the NSA requirements for maintaining the CAE-CD designation.
