CJS 680 Praxis Seminar I

This class represents the convergence of theory and practice in criminal justice. Students will develop a project plan/proposal and begin to work on their final master project to be continued and completed in CJS 690, Praxis II.

  • Develop a proposal for a feasible research project in criminal justice.
  • Examine and evaluate landmark studies in policing, courts, corrections.
  • Articulate best practices in conducting criminal justice research.
  • Demonstrates the relationship between academic knowledge and the practical application of that knowledge to the field.
