IDST 368 Interdisciplinary Topics

This course aims to study a topic or a problem through interdisciplinary lenses. In this course, a topic or problem is studied by exploring different theories and concepts to understand the interdisciplinary nature of it while also reflecting on one¿s own position and assumptions on the matter. This course also aims to address interdisciplinary solutions or interpretations to the problem or topic.

Special information

Prerequisites: 30 credits or permission from the instructor. Note: This course may be taken four times for credit, as long as the topics are different.

  • Explore and gather interdisciplinary perspectives on a question or problem
  • Apply concepts and theories of at least two disciplines on a topic or problem
  • Reflect on one¿s assumptions, biases, perspectives, and experiences on the question or problem
  • Explore interdisciplinary solutions, approaches, or interpretations to address the problem or question.
