This course builds on the registered nurse's previous knowledge and experiences and provides an overview of concepts basic to the development as a baccalaureate prepared nurse. Course content includes exploring many of the roles of the baccalaureate-prepared nurse and one's own professional development.

Prerequisites: Admission to RN-BSN program. Co-requisites NURS 301.

  • Create a professional development plan for the successful transition to the role of the baccalaureate prepared nurse.
  • Explore how utilizing the full range of skills and knowledge as a BSN impacts the current and future challenges and opportunities in health care.
