Did you know?
In October 2024, Harvard’s Making Caring Common Project reported alarming levels of loneliness among U.S. adults. Of 1,500 adults surveyed: 1 in 5 (21%) reported serious loneliness—both social-emotional and existential.

Among them:

  • 67% don’t feel part of meaningful groups
  • 61% lack enough close friends or family
  • 65% feel fundamentally disconnected from others
  • 63% feel their place in the world isn’t important or relevant
