Self-Care and Service

  • Student Center
    room 101
690 East Seventh Street, Saint Paul

Self care isn't selfish, with leaves and a green and light orange wavy backdrop

As the weather gets colder and finals and life stress builds, join the Student Parent Center and Student Success Coordinator for Veteran and Military Connected Students for ways to take care of yourself and give back this season. The event will be made up of two parts: self-care tools and a service activity.

Self-Care: Drop by for relaxing crafts, giveaways, self-care resources and practices, and DIY sugar scrubs. There will also be counselors on site to do check-ins or talk about ways you can practice self-care, even with the smallest amounts of free time.

Service: Pack overdose prevention kits courtesy of the Steve Rummler HOPE Network and learn about other ways you can get involved and give back on campus and in the community this season.

All, including families and children, are welcome!

For those with sensory needs, the event will be scent-limited and sensory-friendly from 3:00-3:30 p.m. DIY sugar scrubs will start at 3:30 p.m. and be available until the event ends, or until supplies last.
