Register today for this year's Understanding and Responding to Mass Incarceration (URMI) Conference, Youth Justice: Changing the Narrative

This daylong conference will examine the specific challenges faced by youth in the criminal legal system or at risk of involvement in it. Topics will include historical and personal trauma, the school-to-prison pipeline and prosecution of youth as adults, as well as options for response such as community prevention, restorative practices, mentorship, and alternatives to incarceration.

The annual URMI conference—now in its tenth year—is free and open to all university and community members. Email any questions to therissa.libby@metrostate.edu.
