Biography

Angela Bowlus serves as the director of advising in the College of Management Advising Center situated on the Minneapolis campus. In addition to managing advising services for undergraduate and master's level programs in the College, Angela serves in leadership roles across campus, including as co-chair of the Academic Advising Leadership Committee and MSUAASF Treasurer. She collaborates on faculty advisor training, development and implementation of advising technologies, and advising assessment.

Angela serves as faculty at the NACADA Assessment Institute and has presented at numerous conferences. Her current research is focused on aspects of narrative theory in academic advising, adult learners, and student success,

Angela completed her undergraduate degree in history with a minor in East Asian studies from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. After spending a year studying abroad in China, Angela return to the University of Minnesota and completed her master's degree in East Asian studies. Being a lifelong learner, she completed her doctorate in educational leadership from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2022.
