Major job duties
- Prepare and put away laboratory supplies and equipment for all science courses.
- Calculate supply needs of laboratory experiments dependent on student numbers.
- Prepare chemical solutions, including using hazardous materials.
- Manage laboratory glassware.
- Multitask as required in coordination with lab team.
- Prepare culture media and reagents using aseptic technique according to standard protocols.
- Track and organize maintenance and calibration of equipment.
Qualifications and experience
Required Qualifications:
- Chem 111/112 & Biol 111.
- Knowledge of simple math (basic algebra, %, metric system).
- Ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail and careful record keeping.
