DBA 755 Current Topics in Business Leadership

This course is an integrated multi-disciplinary inquiry seminar of the critical problems facing the pragmatic and academic nature of leadership theory and practice. The broad scope of this course explores the impact of leadership theory, research and practice on individual, group, and organization outcomes. This course focuses on emerging and applied research and theory in leadership.

Prerequisites: Successful completion of all Phase I courses in the DBA Program.

General

  • Examine foundational and current research in a defined discipline within the field of business administration, with special attention to rigor, relevance, theoretical foundations, and management practice.
  • Critically analyze selected research the selected discipline, focusing on the quality of research design and practical importance of research outcomes.
  • Identify potential research topics in the defined discipline, along with feasibility of the research and appropriate research methods.
