Major job duties

  • Working one-on-one with students to tutor writing organization, style, citation, clarity and more.
  • Supporting drop-in tutoring services and participating in campus outreach.
  • Paid professional development opportunities include:
    • Initial training.
    • Subsequent in-service trainings.
    • Community learning sessions.
    • Potentially, embedded tutoring.

Qualifications and experience

We are looking for confident students with excellent writing skills and solid interpersonal communication skills to tutor their peers in written assignments across disciplines.

  • Completion of WRIT 131 and 231 with grades of B+ preferred.
  • We’re looking for students who could tutor for at least one academic year.
  • Graduate students may be eligible at pay level E.
