MATH 375 Complex Variables

Starting with an introduction to the complex plane, this course covers holomorphic functions and power series, Cauchy's Theorem, contour integration and its applications.

General

  • Apply conformal mappings and analyze their properties.
  • Use fundamental theorems in complex-variable calculus, including the Cauchy-Riemann equations and Cauchy¿s Theorem.
  • Describe the topology and arithmetic of the complex numbers and describe properties of functions of a complex number.
  • Determine the convergence of complex series, including power series.
