Badge Required St. Paul Campus Access

You may use your ID badge to access exterior doors that are equipped with a card reader.

Students or visitors without a badge may enter through:

  • Library Building — 1st floor, Door #55 (east main entrance – parking lot)
  • Founder’s Hall — Auditorium entrance, Door #23
  • Student Center — Entrance, Door #01 (nearest to the parking ramp)

You may obtain a student ID in the Library. More information on how to obtain an ID badge can be found here.

Parking Hang Tags

Hang tag use is required for employee parking at all times in select surface lot areas on the Metro State Saint Paul campus and at all offsite campus locations. This includes marked accessibility parking spaces reserved for students and employees in addition to state-issued license plate, hang tag, or permit.
  • Saint Paul campus—hang tags are required in the courtyard surface lot (reserved student and employee accessibility parking spaces and guest of president parking space), East Seventh Street surface lot, and North Library surface lot.
  • All offsite campus location require hang tags for employees who use those parking facilities.

To qualify for a hang tag, employees must be enrolled in auto payroll deduction or for community faculty in semester based parking. 

  • Employee hang tags can be requested by submitting a service request under Campus Operations/Parking/Other parking related requests. Arrangement can be made to pickup the hang tag at the mail center.
  • Student accessibility hang tags can be obtained by contacting the Center for Accessibility Resources located in Founders Hall, 2nd Floor.
  • Student accessibility hang tags can be obtained by contacting the Center for Accessibility Resources located in Founders Hall 228 at accessibility.resources@metrostate.edu or call 651.793.1549.
