The Metropolitan State Foundation Board welcomes new member, Jeanette Augustson

Saint Paul, Minn.— Metropolitan State University welcomes Jeanette Augustson to the Metropolitan State Foundation Board of Trustees.

Augustson is the Executive Director of Operations for the HealthPartners Institute. She helps lead research and clinical education teams across HealthPartners, the largest consumer-governed, nonprofit health care organization in the nation. Augustson holds a master's in public affairs from the University of Minnesota and has a background in public policy, healthcare, medical education, and health research.

"I’m inspired by Metropolitan State’s vision of providing high-quality, affordable education programs for students who reflect the diversity of our state. The impact that Metropolitan State has on our community and economy is demonstrated in its high ranking in the CollegeNET’s Social Mobility Index,” she says.

Augustson hopes to further the Foundation's vision and goals by being an ambassador through philanthropy and advocacy initiatives.  She states, “I’m excited to be a part of an institution that is creating opportunities for populations that are otherwise underserved by higher education. This is critical to addressing the economic disparities that exist in our region.”

“Jen was nominated to our board by her CEO, and we are so very grateful she agreed to serve as trustee,” says Rita Dibble, Vice President for University Advancement. “Her experience in advocacy and her focus on increasing access for all fits in perfectly with the mission and purpose of Metro State.”

Augustson resides in Edina with her husband and two children.
