Krys Kornmeier has been a producer/director for more than 25 years. Her work has taken her across the globe to countries including China, Borneo, Africa, and Jordan. She has produced award winning nonfiction programs on a variety of topics for Discovery, Animal Planet, Global View Productions, Turner Broadcasting, and The Smithsonian Networks. She is the mother of a son with learning and attention issues and knows first-hand the emotional and educational challenges inherent in these issues. The making of "NORMAL ISN’T REAL: Succeeding with Learning Disabilities & ADHD" has been a long-held passion. Krys holds a BA from Wheaton College (Massachusetts) and an MA from Columbia University (NY).

We are delighted to host a virtual screening of the film, "NORMAL ISN'T REAL: Succeeding with Learning Disabilities & ADHD." The film features the stories of four young adults with LD/ADHD issues sharing their journeys to success in work and school, and the strategies they use to manage their challenges.

The film is being shown around the country to strong reviews and is full of hope, inspiration, and real life examples of how people with LD and ADHD have become experts on themselves and what they need to succeed. The screening will be followed by a discussion panel and/or Q&A where the experiences, strategies and lessons learned by those in the film, as well as the audience, will be shared.

Can't make the live screening event? In addition to our live session we will also have a virtual option for those that need to view virtually. Event registration is required and folks can stream the film at anytime from October 13 through October 20, starting at 7 p.m., October 13.
