Urban Education Department Celebration

Join us in celebrating 22 years of excellence in anti-racist and anti-oppression in Urban Education!

In this very first UED conference, we invite scholars (faculty, students and members of the community) to re-evaluate social justice, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive pedagogy and practice. We are seeking proposals that will speak to the long-lasting traumas caused by historical injustices, inequities, and colonization. We invite proposals that will challenge the status quo and explicitly define what social justice looks like in urban educational contexts and how it is/or can be practiced in classrooms and communities to overthrow Eurocentric dominance and racist agendas to ensure authentic, caring, and equitable education for all.
