From the MSUSA President: Here's how MSUSA is working for you; and don't forget to vote.

Posted April 24, 2020

Greetings fellow Metropolitan State students,

Stressful times call for civic measures! Your student government, MSUSA, is here to advocate for YOU during these uncertain months (and always). As MSUSA President, I want to personally encourage you to reach out to us with your ideas, concerns, and especially, make time to VOTE in our annual election via engage.metrostate.edu

What are some of the things MSUSA has been up to this semester?

  • We refunded ALL Student Activities Fees paid for Spring 2020
  • We wrote a letter to President Arthur detailing all the things students asked us for in COVID-19 relief efforts on the university level
    • Please reach out if you'd like a copy!
  • We held a first and second round of annual elections for next year's membership.
  • We completed the annual budget process for student clubs for FY21.
  • We drafted a tuition and fees consultation letter to send to administrators on May 1.

If you'd like to get into contact with us, you can email msusa@metrostate.edu or you can email me directly at hamisha.alkamooneh@my.metrostate.edu. You are also welcome to reach out through engage or through SLLD or attend any of our first and third Friday night of the month meetings via Zoom at 5 p.m. (links are always posted on engage). Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for additional updates @msusametrostate. Don't forget to vote in our annual elections before the poll closes on April 30. Thank you for those who have already voted!

We look forward to serving you,

Hamisha Alkamooneh
