Metro State student wins 2023 Student Outreach writing competition

Posted March 27, 2024

Megan Khotko, a graduate student in the Department of Technical Communication and Interaction Design at Metro State University, won the 2023 Society for Technical Communication Instructional Design and Learning Special Interest Group (STC IDL SIG) Student Outreach Article-Writing Competition. This international writing competition is organized by the Instructional Design and Learning SIG of one of the largest professional societies for technical communicators in the world. The winner's article is also published in the SIG's newsletter, so Khotko, who is close to earning her Learner Experience Design graduate certificate as well as her MS in Technical Communication, is a published author now. This is the second time a student working on a degree in Technical Communication at Metro State has won this competition: Lee Stoe, who has his Technical Communication and Professional Writing BA degree from Metro State and is on the TCID department’s Industry Advisory Board now, won this competition in 2017.
