Remedial Courses and MN State Metro Campuses
Remedial Courses
-
Remedial courses completed at other institutions before coming to Metropolitan State University
All remedial courses are listed at the end of each individual’s DARS (Degree Audit Reports). This transcript evaluation process also identifies those courses that are considered meeting the prerequisite requirements for certain college level courses such as college algebra at Metropolitan State University. Then students will be allowed to enroll into those courses.
If you transferred in remedial courses, you should seek your academic advisor to go through the prerequisite checking procedure before enrollment.
- If you completed the Accuplacer placement tests at Metropolitan State University, placed into some remedial courses and you would like to take those courses at another MN State campus of your choice, you need to contact the campus you would like to go, they will place you into their courses based on their placement criteria while sharing the same test scores in the system. Your academic advisor is also there to guide you through the process.
