Earn While You Learn, Work Integrated Experience

An apprenticeship is an “earn while you learn” model in which students are paid for on-the-job training while attending school for related instruction. Apprentices will be hired and paid directly by employers. A successful apprenticeship may lead directly to a permanent position with the employer.

Most of our apprenticeships are not registered apprenticeships through the Department of Labor. They are longer than internships, typically lasting six months or longer, depending on the position. Students attend school while gaining hands-on experience through the apprenticeship.

This apprenticeship program has been a beneficial bridge between my academic career and experience, working with Securian Financial has enriched my practical knowledge in my career field. The toughest step is the first one we take. Working in tandem with great companies helps make that first step into your career easier.
